Delivery Times

Each of our rug are entirely hand-woven, then washed and air-dried in the mountain air. Our current delivery times are 7 to 16 weeks (depending on the size of the rug). Larger rug may require additional drying time. Your rug being made of 100% wool, there will be natural and beautiful variations in patterns and colors. These are the sign of a unique and authentic rug, made especially for you. Final dimensions may vary by 10% from the ordered size. Moreover, due to the handcrafted work and the non-standardization of raw materials, there will be variations in colors.

Our Beni Ouarain rug are woven by the women of the Beni Ouarain tribe living in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. This tribe is renowned for producing some of the best wool in the world, and their rug have a remarkably soft and fluffy texture. Each of our carefully selected Beni Ouarain rug has been woven knot by knot according to ancestral techniques passed down from mother to daughter through generations.

The Beni Ouarain tribe traditionally uses raw wool, which is why it is more common to see these rug in white/cream colors with natural black or brown patterns created by the wool of the black sheep in the flock. Today, the weavers enjoy greater artistic freedom by using colors based on natural pigments, which is why we delight in having beautiful colorful and thick Beni Ouarain rug.

Beni Ouarain rug are historically made from undyed wool, so it must be of the highest quality. This is why the weavers also focus on the process upstream of weaving, which involves working the wool.
