The Kilims Suzani are emblematic textile pieces of Central Asia, renowned for their artisanal richness and their symbolism. The word "suzani" comes from the Persian term "Suzan", which means "needle", highlighting the delicate art of embroidery in hand. These kilims are distinguished by complex floral patterns, often embellished with rosettes, vine leaves, and protective symbols, reflecting traditions transmitted from generation to generation.
Our rug Colorful Afghan Kilims are the fruit of a long exceptional work of the Afghan weavers. The wool from Ghazni has been spun by hand, then colored from plants for an exceptional color palette. The weavers of the Maimana region, in northern Afghanistan, then produce real works while perpetuating an ancestral know-how known around the world.
Our colored Afghan Kilims, characterized by traditional geometric patterns, have a very beautiful and rich color palette that will brighten up your interior.
Of exceptional quality, Maimana's Kilims are woven in such a way to be extremely robust and durable to be transmitted from generation to generation. Thanks to their flat weaving and their resistance, they are very easy to maintain, therefore can slide it everywhere in the house (corridor, entrance, dining room, bedroom, living room ECT, etc.).

Berber Rugs & Afghan Kilims
Maintenance is very simple:
• Vacuum regularly without a rotating abrasive brush.
• Rotate the rug from time to time, especially if exposed to sunlight, to avoid uneven discoloration.
• In case of stains, clean with mild soap (such as diluted black soap) and a damp cloth.
• For stubborn stains, use baking soda powder, let it sit, then vacuum.
Wool Textiles (cushions, throws, etc.)
• Never machine wash.
• Hand wash in cold water, without rubbing.
• For optimal cleaning, entrust them to a professional dry cleaner accustomed to artisanal textiles.
Furniture and Decorative Objects
• A slightly damp soft cloth is sufficient.
• Avoid conventional detergents: we use noble and natural materials (raw wood, brass, tadelakt, zellige, etc.), which do not tolerate harsh products.
