Each of our rug are woven entirely by hand, then washed and dried in the air of the mountain. Our current delivery times are 7 to 16 weeks (depending on the size of the rug). Description
Our rug Beni Ouarain are woven by the women of the Blessed Ouarain tribe living in the Atlas mountains in Morocco. This tribe is known to produce one of the best wools in the world and their rug have a remarkably soft and soft texture. Each of our rug Beni Ouarain selected with care was woven knot by knot according to the ancestral techniques transmitted from mother to daughter through generations.
The Beni Ouarain tribe traditionally uses raw wool, which is why it is more common to see these rug In white/cream colors with natural black or brown patterns created by the wool of black sheep of the herd. Berber Rugs & Afghan Kilims
Maintenance is very simple:
• Vacuum regularly without a rotating abrasive brush.
• Rotate the rug from time to time, especially if exposed to sunlight, to avoid uneven discoloration.
• In case of stains, clean with mild soap (such as diluted black soap) and a damp cloth.
• For stubborn stains, use baking soda powder, let it sit, then vacuum.
Wool Textiles (cushions, throws, etc.)
• Never machine wash.
• Hand wash in cold water, without rubbing.
• For optimal cleaning, entrust them to a professional dry cleaner accustomed to artisanal textiles.
Furniture and Decorative Objects
• A slightly damp soft cloth is sufficient.
• Avoid conventional detergents: we use noble and natural materials (raw wood, brass, tadelakt, zellige, etc.), which do not tolerate harsh products.
