Rug Painting by French artist Maël Le Briand - Berber rug Colorful Azilal, handwoven in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
I had the unique opportunity to collaborate with artist Maël Le Briand to transform two of his paintings into exceptional rugs. These transposed works combine the intensity of painting with the subtlety of weaving, giving birth to unique pieces that tell a story.
This rug, to be placed, adopts a resolutely modern approach. It is inspired by a painting on paper created by Maël at the end of 2023, where he plays with modern shapes and counter-shapes. When this design was transposed into a rug, the artisanal process brought about “happy accidents”: more refined shapes, revisited colors, and an almost naive simplicity that gives the rug a unique charm. Some will see abstract patterns, Maël sees fish floating in a graphic universe. This rug, both bold and elegant, invites you to bring a fragment of art into your daily life.
This work embodies a meeting between Maël's art and Moroccan craftsmanship, a celebration of material, color, and history. They are made for those who seek unique pieces, filled with emotion and meaning.

100% exceptional sheep wool. Artisanally made in Morocco.

Berber Rugs & Afghan Kilims
Maintenance is very simple:
• Vacuum regularly without a rotating abrasive brush.
• Rotate the rug from time to time, especially if exposed to sunlight, to avoid uneven discoloration.
• In case of stains, clean with mild soap (such as diluted black soap) and a damp cloth.
• For stubborn stains, use baking soda powder, let it sit, then vacuum.
Wool Textiles (cushions, throws, etc.)
• Never machine wash.
• Hand wash in cold water, without rubbing.
• For optimal cleaning, entrust them to a professional dry cleaner accustomed to artisanal textiles.
Furniture and Decorative Objects
• A slightly damp soft cloth is sufficient.
• Avoid conventional detergents: we use noble and natural materials (raw wood, brass, tadelakt, zellige, etc.), which do not tolerate harsh products.
