Blessed Ouarain carpets are woven by the women of the Blessed Ouarain tribe living in the Atlas mountains in Morocco. This tribe is known to produce one of the best wools in the world and their carpets have a remarkably soft and soft texture. Each of our Beni Ouarain carpets selected with care was woven knot by knot according to the ancestral techniques transmitted from mother to daughter through generations.

The Beni Ouarain tribe traditionally uses raw wool, which is why it is more common to see these carpets in white/cream colors with natural black or brown patterns created by the wool of black sheep of the herd. Today the weavers play greater artistic freedom by using colors based on natural pigments, which is why we have our delight with pretty colored and thick blessed rugs.

The Blessed Ouarain carpets are historically made from unmolded wool, so it must be of the highest quality. This is the reason why the weavers also focus on the upstream process of weaving which consists of wool work.
